Hike

This lovely weekend I enjoyed my first hike of the year (bad I know) and it was awesome! It was Jacks first time going for a walk in the “wilderness” and he was pretty nervous. He got to drink out of a stream with a mini waterfall, unfortunately got some burrs stuck to his leg but were only there for a few minutes before I found them and rescued him, and fortunately didn’t meet any bears. There were warning signs for bears which made it more exciting but honestly I just loved going for a walk without the fumes from cars, and it smelled so nice. Here are some pics from the iphone on the way…

Pretty isn’t it? That waterfall looks huge in the pic haha but it was only about a foot and a half high. I was going to sleep soo well because I was pooped but it was the first night on the new mattress and I found out I need to buy a padded topper haha. For supper I had a yum pulled pork sandwich and salad but ended up ditching the bread. I’m currently on a health kick for fun and well err health too, so I’m drinking lots of water and trying to stay close to “earth food” (veggies, fruits, meats… no processed or packaged if I can help it). Family arrives today to visit, we’ve got a week of fun planned which already sounds tiring haha! I promised my brother we could go to Dennys and get some costco ice cream because they’re his favorites, and I think there’s either a BBQ or pizza party at the end of the week to end things off on a fun note. Anyway hope you’re having a wicked rad Monday!

Hey B
Those photos are gorgeous, Canada has very similar countryside to Scotland. Have fun with the family and have an awesome week

oh, and yeah those tempurpedic mattresses take way too long to get molded into shape. I too was somewhat duped into buying a fancy future mattress and got a latex one (you probably know what that is, but if you dont its not the condom kind, its just instantly soft and form fitting and light weight, no spings) and it turns out that it’s an awesome bed for sleeping alone and a terrible bed for snuggling with someone. The weight of two people on it just means they sink into each other and the mattress which isn’t as nice as it might sound. It’s also a california king so it’s impossible to a) want to sleep alone in b) find sheets for c) fit anywhere. I think I’m gonna sell it on craigslist and trade up for a contemporary king or queen and call it a day. I would/will miss not having my feet hang off the end of it though.

Yep I was looking into the latex mattresses as well, but I ended up just switching it for a good old fashion spring mattress. Good luck on the craigslist, try kijiji.com as well!

Hi Bryci,
You’re not too bothered by smoke from forest fires in the north?

Nope it’s not bothering me at all
