Beauty Tip: EVOO
by Bryci on Mar.12, 2010, under Beauty Tips

So as I never really was a girly girl growing up, when I started modeling I jumped into a world of beauty and secret tips and tricks that were just astounding to me! Well not all of them, but I decided to start sharing some of my beauty tips I’ve learned through modeling because I know I’ve got some lady fans too! But these are for you boys as well, because although I do like a rough around the edges kinda guy, I do like it when ya’ll take care of yourselves a tiny bit too
So first up is my hair saver, without this my hair would probably be breaking off and a dingy shade of brown yuck. Extra virgin olive oil hair treatments! A lot of salons have hot oil treatments, and honestly I’ve never been in for one because I’m not a big fan of hair stylists :lol Plus throughout life I’ve found that most at-home things are way better than anything “professional”. Anyway, what I do is in the morning after I wake up I’ll grab my bottle of olive oil and pour a bunch into my hands and work it into the ends of my hair, about from my ears down. The hair from my scalp to my ears is always soft because my natural hair oils reach down to there, so don’t worry about putting the olive oil above your ears. Guys you don’t generally have to worry about this beauty tip because your hair is so short usually! From curling my hair all the time for photoshoots, the ends of my hair gets fried so this saves it. I’ll wrap my hair up into a bun and go about my morning and usually shower it off around noon. Some women leave it on overnight for 8+ hours with a plastic bag over their head to keep the heat in, plus they’ll microwave the oil right before they put it on to get the “hot oil” part of the treatment but I just skip it. When you go to wash it out, make sure you put shampoo in your hair BEFORE getting it wet or you’re hooped! :lol
For variation you can throw some honey in there, or some conditioner but I just go straight olive oil. I use this stuff for body lotion as well, it’s like natures baby oil! I do the olive oil hair treatment about once a week if I can remember, to keep my hair in good condition.
