That’s my mission this weekend and I’m having fun doing it actually. Can you believe it, I enjoy being off my computer?! Who wouldn’t thunk it! Heh I have to admit I need to rip myself away from my computer sometimes (as I sit here in my PJ’s waiting to shower.. still..) so weekends I’ve been trying to get out and do some fun things. Yesterday was a shopping day, I grabbed a hat box for my keepsakes so they stay safe, it’s a pretty little black box with white flowers on it. I boogied to the farmers market too but they were just closing up shop.

Today I’m cleaning the house, which should be quick since I do it throughout the week but there are a few things that need to be done, like the dreaded bathrooms gah. Jack is going to get to enjoy a trip to the park with his tennis ball, and I might go on a hunt for a vanity table set. Hope you have a great Sunday out!

So today I was kind of having a blah meh day, not sure why but I decided it was a day best spent off the computer. I went to the shopping mall and was actually on the look out for a wallet because mine isn’t the greatest and I’d love a new one, but instead of came across this pretty little dress, what do you think? I love the 50′s feel to it, plus it does awesome things for “the ladies” haha! So after feeling pretty triumphant because I don’t usually find awesome things like this dress I headed down for some sushi (crazy ebi ebi roll) and had a cinnabon for dessert.. well a little less than half, have to know when to say when. Now it’s time for supper and I’ve got to run to the store for some stuff to cook, I really want to start eating at home more often. I watched Oprah yesterday about saving money and well it’s got me on this kick, hey it makes sense right? Anyway enough tangent heh have a wicked day wherever you are

So I’ve been making a lot of salad rolls lately, I couldn’t get enough of these spicy sate things at the vietnamese restaraunt we go to all the time so I set out to learn how to make not only the salad rolls but make the spicy sate sauce from scratch. I have this wicked app on my ipad called epicurious which is basically a cookbook that is super easy to use and I love it. My sate came out pretty good, I skipped a few ingredients like lemon grass because I couldn’t find it but it’s pretty close. I love these things! So far at home I’ve tried chicken, beef, shrimp and veggie style with no meats and I’m loving the no meat style the best.

Lately I’ve been.. you guessed it.. working my ass off on the computer. I’m in the middle of a design cluster of a couple sites and I think I need a break so today that’s what I’m focusing on doing. I woke up and stayed in bed with my new library book that I picked up yesterday, now I’m going to get straight into my bikini and head to the beach! Last year summer ended and I was cheesed that I hadn’t made going to the beach to relax more of a priority. I think that yes to be successful depends completely on the amount of work you do but what the hell is life for if not fun?! I need to focus on putting at least one fun thing in every day, so today it’s a good book and the beach for at least a little while. And maybe some good old lingerie shopping online, I’m completely out of outfits! Plus I want some sexy stuff for when Talia gets here soon! Hope you have a rockin Tuesday

Back to the wonderful world of the internets, my family just left this morning at 4:00am (long drive!) and I had some weird sleep but I’m back into the swing of things today! Or at least I’m going to try to be haha. Last night I made my specialty turkey spaghetti with egg noodles for my brother since he’s a pasta dude and he loved it, I’ve been mentioning it forever so it was awesome that he finally got to try it and actually liked it. Jack was very happy to be up so early this morning (we slept for an hour or two before having to get up at 4:00am) but not so happy that his new buddy had to leave, I’m sure he will miss him. I will too but it will be nice to get the mario music out of my head finally! Today I’m playing catch up on computer work, plus I’m starting a new project for fun that I’m spending a lot of time working on as well. It’s either that, or curl up on the couch with a bucket of ice cream and watch chick flicks because I’m already home sick haha! Oh but I did get some nice tan lines accomplished!
