Today was an AWESOME day!  I woke up bright and early (11am) and got a bunch of work done pretty fast, then off we went to run some quick errands.  We stopped at the mall and I went into one of my favorite stores and grabbed 3 new pairs of capri pants, I love them all!  Then it was off to the library to exchange books, I grabbed 4 new ones that look like promising mind fluff, something to totally veg out on when I’m feeling blah from working too much.

After that it was supper of tater tots, a call to my dad, and then I got down ‘n dirty and vacuumed the whole condo.  Pretty busy day all in all, but it was a good one.  Hopefully I sleep well tonight from being all over the place!  I was hoping to get a bike ride in as well since today was a little cooler, but it’s now 8:30pm and getting pretty dark, and being that I have no helmet I’d rather not ride in the dark. I am sleepy though so I think I’m going to go catch little Sean Johnson in the gymnastics!

Today was Tropic Thunder day (starring Jack Black, Ben Stiller, and Robert Downey Jr.), and I must say at first I was incredibly displeased.  I saw a trailer, and either I was in a piss mood or it was a bunk trailer because I thought it looked horrible.  The boy wanted to go to see it really really badly so being the sweetheart I am I said sure thing. :p  Anyway I’m glad we did go because it turned out to be incredibly hilarious, and I would even see it again in a bit.. and I never do that!  Click here to check out the trailer for Tropic Thunder.

It was so bloody hot out today that as soon as I got home it was down to the basics, gitch and a tank top, while standing in front of the fan.  I’m not a fan of air conditioning, so even though our place has it I rarely turn it on.  It hurts my throat and makes me feel sick for a few days after being in it, I can’t even hang in malls for too long in the summer ick. Cold showers do the trick!

A few days ago I had my first attempt at making stir fry, neato hey?  Yeah lame, I’ve never learned how to  cook so yes this was my first time.  I called world famous cook, my dad, to help me out a bit, and ended up throwing in chicken breast, red yellow and orange bell peppers, string beans, and diced up carrots and almost chopped off the tip of my finger.  It turned out pretty well.. very stir fry-ish.  I’ve never been a fan, it tasted pretty good for stir fry but you won’t see me wanting stir fry again soon.  Oh and I made it with sweet and sour sauce because teriyaki is devils sauce, ew.

Now we’re in the middle of a movie, Garden State with Zach Braff (written, directed, and starred in!) and so far it’s really good.  I think he just finished his truth or dare game, but I won’t say any more incase you haven’t seen it.  Go out and grab it! Off to finish it

Today was Christmas at my house!  I definitely slept like last night was Christmas Eve as well, horribly that is.  We were having our new couch and coffee tables delivered today!  They got here around 3:30pm, of course it started raining as they were carrying them in, but at least they were covered.  After a hot afternoon of building the tables, we settled in and watched some of the swimmers in the Olympics on our brand new couch.  It’s totally rad! Now I just need to grab some artwork, but I’m thinking of just doing it myself.  My dad threw a fit when I told him that last bit, he’s always wanted me to grow up to be an artist.

Today was supposed to get up to 37 above (celcius), but it turned out really cloudy/muggy and got up to 34.  It claims it is now only 26 above but I call BS because I can barely stand to walk around in my ginch and tank top.  I love the summer, but definitely not this hot!

Tomorrow it is back to work, and it doesn’t even really seem like I got a weekend as I was sitting at my computer the whole of Saturday and building the living room today, but I have a pretty slack job so I’m not complaining!  Hopefully it will be a little cooler than 37 out, it claims it will be 34.  I’m hoping to get to the beach, but I wouldn’t be upset if we turned out with another thunderstorm like todays, it was wild!  I love thunderstorms out here, it sounds like it’s echoing it’s crazy!

So we’re getting a new couch!  We went yesterday and ordered it, it just needs to be delivered, which will be this Sunday afternoon.  I’m so excited!  It’s so soft, and so plush, I can’t wait to lounge and fall asleep infront of the tv.  We also ordered some really nice coffee table set too, it’s just plain dark wood but it matches the couch so that’s cool.  I’m thinking of getting the matching chair, except in baby blue.  What do you think?

Other than that there really isn’t much that’s new in my world. We’ve become beach bums and are spending as much time at the beach as possible.. which is about an hour for me, I can’t stay out there too long!  You’d think with olive skin I could be out there for hours, but I just can’t handle it.  I’m getting some rad tan lines though!  The only bummer is that you’re so tired when you get back from the beach because of all that good ol’ sunshine and fresh air.  Time for a nap!

So I’ve been totally craving blueberries lately, and fortunately we have a huge 4lb box of them in the fridge right now.  I love them, but I always feel slightly guilty eating them because I’ve always viewed them as the expensive treat so I try not to eat a lot.  Screw that! haha   Onto the munchies in a bit…

This weekend was pretty blah around my place, I’m not sure if I need a new presciprtion for my contacts & glasses, to include astigmatism, but I’ve been riddled with headaches a lot lately.  It could also be that I stare at my computer screen for hours on end forgetting to blink.. or pee.. but who knows?   Today I woke up with a headache.. or at least I think I did.  It may have been when I put in my contacts but sshh.. don’t tell because that means another appointment where someone puts me in that dreaded machine that blows on your eyes ick!  No way, dude.

So tomorrow is supposed to be a shoot day, but I’m not quite sure how that will pan out.  I haven’t been feeling very… shoot worthy lately, but it comes and goes.  Not really easy to feel all put together when you wake with a headache and not bother to shower and put effort forth hahaha.  Oh and weirdest thing, I think I’ve pinched a nerve in my elbow because my pointer finger on my right hand lately has been numb, kind of irking me lately.

Anyway I want to put together a really random odd shoot, I’m thinking something in the bathtub with some huge platform heels and a ballerina tutu with an umbrella.. or something.  See?  Random goodness.  Just for the fun of it!  Speaking of random, lately I’ve had this huge urge to chop off my hair!  Some days all of it, other days some of it, but in the end I just realise I’m so indesicive that if I DO settle on something and go through with it… the next day I’ll change my mind but I’m out the hair so I haven’t commited to anything as of yet.  I’ll post some photos if/when I do though.  Now I’m going to enjoy some blueberries and stop staring at my computer screen because I doubt that’s the best for my headache. Nite!
